for Adult Cats

Deboned Whitefish
Whitefish consists of non-rendered, deboned, clean whitefish meat. An excellent source of protein, as well as niacin, phosphorus and selenium, whitefish is also low in sodium.

Whole Ground Brown Rice
A natural whole grain rice that is associated with natural health foods. The bran portion provides essential B vitamins, minerals and fiber. Brown rice is an excellent, high–quality complex carbohydrate source for energy and fiber for colon health.

Peas
BLUE uses fresh, green peas. A good source of protein and Vitamin A. Peas are packed with fiber to help manage cholesterol and blood sugar. Also a good source of potassium.

Oatmeal
Oatmeal is an excellent carbohydrate source for energy. It is a high quality grain source that is rich in B vitamins and minimizes allergic reactions typically associated with wheat and corn. Whole oats are the whole grain with hull and brand. Oatmeal is known to help protect against heart disease, diabetes and cancer as well as help to lower cholesterol and maintain the proper levels of blood sugar.

Menhaden Fish Meal (source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids)
A meal obtained from processing fish of the menhaden species. It is an excellent source of high–quality fish protein and Omega 3 essential fatty acids including EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) and arachionic acid; fatty acids associated with preventing coronary artery disease and protecting against arteriosclerosis. Omega 3 fatty acids are also associated with improved immune response and are potential anti-inflammatory aids.

Potatoes
BLUE uses whole, fresh potatoes. They provide B vitamins, carbohydrates, Vitamin C, potassium, iron and magnesium to name a few.

Canola Oil (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols)
Obtained by extracting the oil from canola seeds, providing calories for energy and Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids for a healthy coat.

Flaxseed (source of Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids)
Ground flax seed contains flax seed oil, which is one of the richest sources of the essential Omega 3 fatty acids (linolenic acid). Flax is a good source of essential amino acids and contains all the essential vitamins and minerals required by dogs and cats. Flax is beneficial for its anti-inflammatory effect and has been known to help arthritis and prevent cancer. Flax seed is also a great fiber source that aids in digestion. Also an excellent source of Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids that promote healthy skin and coat.

Whole Carrots
Carrots provide antioxidants and health protecting phytochemicals, vitamins and minerals. They are high in Vitamin A and carotenoids. Carotenoids are antioxidants providing protection against free radicals (cancer causing agents). The carrots used in BLUE dog and cat foods are whole fresh carrots sourced from approved USDA sources.

Cranberries
An antioxidant that fights free radicals (toxins) in the body; a natural acidifier that contributes to urinary tract health, preventing bacterial infection in the urinary tract, and aid in the prevention of struvite crystals in the bladder and urethra.

Blueberries
Blueberries are an excellent source of Vitamins A & C, potassium, and fiber.

Barley Grass
A good source of chlorophyll, fiber and phytochemicals. It has been known to be beneficial in the treatment of arthritis, diabetes, kidney, liver disease, and cancer.

Dried Parsley
Fresh parsley is an herb associated with reducing urinary tract inflammation, aids in digestion and increases renal function to help the body dispose of excessive fluid by increasing urine production. It also contains Vitamin A and Vitamin C, vitamins associated with antioxidant properties.

Alfalfa Meal
Alfalfa is one of the richest mineral foods containing abundant amounts of trace minerals (zinc, iron and manganese), vitamins (Vitamin A, Vitamin C) nutrients needed by dogs and cats to sustain well-being.

Dried Kelp
Kelp is a good source of essential vitamins and minerals (including iodine). It is a good antioxidant and has been known to be beneficial in helping to protect against cancer.

Taurine
Taurine is an amino acid required by cats and kittens. It is associated with growth, eye health, and cardiac health.

Yucca Schidigera Extract
Yucca Schidigera is a natural extract made entirely form the stem of the Yucca Schidigera Schidiger plant. Supports anti-inflammatory processes in tendons and joint cartilage.

L-Carnitine
Carnitine is an amino acid that increases fat metabolism, lowers cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Also promotes enhanced endurance.

L-Lysine
Needed for proper growth and bone development. Aids in the production of antibodies, hormones, and enzymes as well as collagen formation and tissue repair.

Turmeric
Turmeric is an herb associated with aiding digestion by helping to stimulate the flow of bile, which helps digest fat.

Oil of Rosemary
An excellent and natural preservative that is also know to help protect against cancer.

Dried Chicory Root
Chicory Root is a perennial Old World herb cultivated as a source of inulin for pets. Known as a "prebiotic" that feeds the good bacteria and hinders the growth of bad bacteria in the pets' digestive track.

Beta Carotene
Beta carotene plays an important role in animal health as a precursor of Vitamin A, which is an essential nutrient needed for normal growth development, reproduction, immune function, and vision. In addition to its role as a precursor of Vitamin A, it also acts as an antioxidant and a potent quencher of singlet oxygen. Singlet oxygen and free radicals are unstable chemical species that can arise from normal body metabolism or from environmental exposure to cigarette smoke, air pollutants, radiation, certain drugs and environmental toxins, and if not neutralized can cause serious cellular damage leading to certain chronic diseases.

Vitamin A Supplement
Vitamin A is essential for healthy bones, teeth, hair, skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. It is an oil soluble vitamin and is important to the immune system especially for respiratory infections. d-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5)
One of the B vitamins, it acts as a coenzyme in the conversion of amino acids and is important for healthy skin. It also promotes normal growth and development and aids in the release of energy from foods.

Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6)
Vitamin B6 is essential for the metabolism of proteins. It acts as a cofactor for the large hydrochloride number of enzymes involved in amino acid and metabolism. It is also involved in the metabolism of the precursor of heme—a compound of blood that helps in the normal function of the brain.

Biotin (Vitamin B7)
Also known as Vitamin H, it is active in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and protein, and the formation of fatty acids. It promotes normal health of sweat glands, nerve tissue, bone marrow, blood cells, skin, and hair. It is essential for growth and well-being.

Folic Acid (Vitamin B9)
A water soluble B-vitamin that plays an important role in various cellular functions.

Vitamin B12 Supplement
Vitamin B12 is a coenzyme in nucleic acid, protein and lipid synthesis. It is necessary for growth. Necessary for normal processing of carbohydrates, protein, and fat in the body.

Calcium Ascorbate (source of Vitamin C)
Calcium is vital for the formation of strong bones and teeth. Also promotes healthy muscle and tissue growth.

Vitamin D3 Supplement
